Waking Up With No Plans

Most of the time, starting the day without some kind of itinerary will almost always result in complete chaos. This is especially true when it comes to our food planning.

To be honest, having healthy prepared food at all times is a true luxury, as even this 2013 Harvard study shows how eating healthy from home can cost you $2,000 a year or more.

As new diets constantly emerge, keeping up with them becomes more difficult with the convenience and temptation of fast food restaurants surrounding us.

The further we get away from daily meal plans, the easier it becomes to choose greasy fast food over healthier options because of the way we’re programmed.

As long as we have a growing variety of restaurants to choose from, food logs are going to become more important to our health in the near future.

Meal plans allow us to follow a healthy fitness lifestyle with the flexibility to eat the foods we truly crave without any guilt. Keep reading to find out why you should be tracking your meals.

Why You Need to Track Your Meals

Tracking your meals is worth it because of the huge amount of time it saves you (and your trainer).

When planning a nutrition plan to help reach your fitness goals, we first eliminate the foods that do not agree with us. In other words, anything that may cause an allergic reaction.

A food log can do this for your by tracking the meals you ate and how it affected your mood. If you have an upset stomach from something you ate, you can now track what caused it and eliminate it permanently from your diet.

Food logs also monitor meals or snacks that we eat unconsciously. This is also known as emotional eating and can be as simple as reaching into a bowl of candy at the office or picking up samples of food at the shopping mall.

In my ebook How to Get Ripped From Anywhere in 30 Minutes, I talk about how your subconscious mind loses willpower every time you walk past food that’s left outside your pantry.

Food logging solves this problem by giving you a visual of what foods you need to eat less of and which ones should be added to help you get in better shape.

The longer you continue to log your meals, the more accustomed you’ll become to portion sizing your meals. If you’re gaining or losing weight too fast, you’ll get a better understanding of how to adjust your calories to reach your goals accurately.

Our company uses software that not only records food information but also synchronizes it with your workouts so a personal trainer could better assist you. For more info about this, feel free to click here.

The Wrap Up

Without tracking your food, it becomes harder to pinpoint the things needed to improve your physique. Food logging makes it easier to adjust your diet by gauging the foods needed to lose body fat or gain muscle size appropriately. You might even be surprised to see how much your log changes with time.
