Everyday Gym Struggle

If you ever took a close look around your local gym, you’ll notice that everyone has their neck craned down at the number one growing digital trend right now.

Their smartphones.

Whenever you get a vibration or hear a ringer go off with the dozens of alerts that are set to go off on your phone, you can’t help but feel the impulse to check your smartphone immediately.

Today’s fast moving world almost makes us want to respond to everything when we feel like it, but this constant distraction could drain your focus in the gym.
On the other hand, we also know that some progressive resistance training is needed for anyone to keep enough lean muscle mass to maintain a healthy weight.

Our smartphones can help more than hurt us in this fitness world as they can help us record our strength, health, and turn exercise into a more functional part of our everyday lives.

Read more to learn how the technology that’s coming into the marketplace now is making working out more exciting than ever.

New Designs for Weightlifters/Bodybuilders

Ever notice how clumsy most wired headphone cords are when you’re making your way around the gym floor?

Take one walk around the floor past a rack of barbells or a railing against the wall, and there goes your $200 headphones being yanked out of your ears.

Or you have you noticed the huge amount of laundry that piles up so quickly from the workouts you’ve been doing all week?

Or even worse, that smell building up in the laundry basket?

Most companies now are creating athletic wear that will help keep us cooler during exercise and wick sweat from fabric faster to prevent bacteria causing odors. (click to check out the new Ralph Lauren Polo BioTech Workout Suit)

And since our smartphones could be used to track our nutrition and workout information, there are sleeker armbands and carrying pouches to hold your device while you workout.

As a trainer, I’m excited about the new influx of technology that’s making other professionals’ jobs easier for our clients by keeping them accountable to their goals and schedules.

Which is why I’m excited about the new workout suit I’ve designed this summer that will feature Apple’s new iPhone 7 technology to help clients lose weight track their progress better and more efficiently.

No more carrying around notebooks, pencils, or magazines with you to write down your workout sets or meals for the day, you can just grab your iPhone and do everything.

The upcoming iPhone 7 doesn’t have a headphone jack to connect your wired headphones without the included adapter, but this makes things more convenient to move around the gym.

In fact, newer wireless headphones are being created for the technology available now that have improved sound quality and better sound connectivity than previous Bluetooth headset devices that were out a few years ago compared to what we have available now.

The Wrap Up

Technology can be designed to help our lives for better without becoming a burden or too much of a nuisance. Personal training becomes much more convenient for both the client and the trainers by using devices that most people know. If you’re considering the iPhone 7 as an asset to get you in better shape and with much better results than where you’re at, definitely consider getting this one.
